The Brussels Motor Show marks the Belgian debut of the all-new Hyundai NEXO. This second generation of Hyundai’s hydrogen-powered SUV demonstrates the maturity of fuel cell technology and shows how zero-emission mobility can successfully combine performance, convenience and refinement.

The new NEXO features a comprehensively updated powertrain. Thanks to an improved fuel cell stack, a more powerful electric motor and a doubled battery output, total system power now reaches 190 kW. This enables brisk acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds, while maintaining smooth and quiet driving characteristics.

Usability remains a key strength. The all-new NEXO achieves a maximum driving range of up to 826 kilometres (WLTP) after a hydrogen refuelling stop of around five minutes. An increased hydrogen storage capacity of 6.69 kg delivers this range without compromising interior space, making the NEXO well suited for both daily use and long-distance travel.

Driving dynamics are further enhanced through aerodynamic improvements, the e-Handling system and the Smart Regenerative System. For the European market, the NEXO also introduces a towing capacity of up to 1,000 kg, making it the first FCEV to offer this level of versatility.

The exterior design follows Hyundai’s ‘Art of Steel’ philosophy, blending strength with elegance. Inside, the midsize SUV offers a spacious and premium cabin with features such as Relaxation Seats, a high-tech digital cockpit and a comprehensive suite of safety and driver assistance systems.

With the Belgian premiere of the all-new NEXO, Hyundai reinforces its leadership in hydrogen mobility, backed by 27 years of fuel cell expertise and a long-term commitment to zero-emission technologies.
