Car of the Year 2026

The Brussels Motor Show will once again host the yearly highlight of the European automotive world: the Car of the Year 2026 award ceremony. On January 9th, the most ground breaking car of the year will be revealed in front of all national and international media attending the Press Day.

From a field of 35 models, 60 jury members from 23 European countries selected the top contenders for the prestigious title. Seven finalists, each a showcase of innovation, design, and performance, are competing for this prestigious title. Which car will take the stage and claim the crown? The Brussels Motor Show 2026 will be the stage of the answer to that question. 

After the award ceremony on the Press Day, the Car of the Year finalists will remain present for the entire duration of Brussels Motor Show, on a dedicated exposition space in Hall 6. A chance for all visitors to be inspired by their technology, sustainability, and forward-thinking design – the future of mobility is within reach.
