EAF Conference on 23 January : ‘Shaping a competitive European Automotive Industry by 2020’

EAF2014 is already on its fourth edition, and this year it focuses on industrial policy and the competitiveness of the European auto industry under the title ‘Shaping a competitive European Automotive Industry by 2020’.

FEBIAC is organising this conference together with AGORIA, VBO and ACEA.

The European auto industry is facing major challenges. Although worldwide vehicle sales are rising sharply, the situation in the European market is unfavourable. This is a threat to the overall competitiveness of the vehicle industry. At the same time, production costs are rising, while it is difficult to pass them on to the very price-conscious consumer. Overcapacity, increasingly strict standards, heavy competition from imports and low profitability are only a few of the many other challenges.

EAF2014 brings together representatives of the European organisations, the automobile industry, federal and regional governments, and mobility experts and participants to debate these challenges and in particular to put forward a vision of how the European auto industry can maintain its competitiveness by 2020.

EAF2014 takes place on Thursday 23 January in Hall 12 of Brussels Expo, from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm. Participants can then visit and discover the Motor Show free of charge.

This event is primarily orientated toward government services and professionals in the sector. Participation costs € 150 excluding VAT. At www.eaf2014.eu you’ll find a detailed programme as well as practical information on registering online.

We’re looking forward to welcoming you at EAF2014!
